Alpine Skiing

Program Details

The CADS Edmonton Ski School offers an annual series of two-hour lessons that run from January to March typically on Monday evenings from 7-9pm and Saturday Morning from 9:30am – 11:30am at Rabbit Hill. See Events Calendar for all scheduled lessons.  Priority will be given to children 15 and under and individuals with a visual impairment. There will be no snowmobile available, therefore first year sit skiers or sit skiers that are not using the chairlift/T-bar will not be able to participate in the Saturday program.

Students learn to ski using adaptive equipment and strategies that follow CSIA and CASI progression and skill development. Ultimately, our goal is to help our students become proficient enough to ski with family and friends on their own time!

Lessons are taught by volunteer instructors who have completed the CADS training program; many are also certified CADS, CSIA or CASI instructors. Students receive one-on-one instruction. We also offer an Learn to Train Program.

Students receive one-on-one instruction that are individually tailored to their abilities. We take great care in the student-instructor matching process to ensure that each student receives the individual attention they need to enjoy their skiing experience and to have fun while learning these skills.

The CADS Edmonton program is registered with the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance (CSIA).
